Unusual Romantic Hotspots In The World

Does Paris seem like an obvious idea for a romantic getaway? If the answer is yes, you need to get creative when it comes to your dream break. Although the tried and tested methods are a great choice, there are other destinations that can be just as beautiful. So, leave Paris, London, New York, etc. in the back of your mind and start making a list of the most unusual romantic hotspots in the world. Can you not think of any? Here are a few ideas to get your trip off the ground!

                                                                                                                                             Okavango Delta, Botswana

Okavango Delta

Most people would not think to go to Africa for a romantic getaway. But, the world’s second-largest continent is full of beauty such as the Okavango Delta. Watching wild animals in their natural habitat going about their everyday life is a sight the majority of people don’t get to see. It is so incredibly heartwarming and uncommon that it makes a safari a great choice for a romantic break. There are plenty of safaris in Africa, but the Okavango Delta is the best choice.

Indian Islands

The last place that evokes beauty in the mind of travelers is India. India is a place that is more about culture and experiencing a different way of life as everything is at the other end of the normality spectrum. However, there are spots in India that are as beautiful as they are unusual, such as the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Located on the South West Coast of the country, the islands are some of the most idyllic in the world. The beaches at Andaman and Nicobar Islands are especially gorgeous and a great place to while away the hours on a romantic holiday.

                                                                                                                                           Northern Lights

The North Pole

Okay, the freezing cold weather is hard to get used to because the temperatures are extreme. Still, the weather doesn’t seem too harsh when you are with the person you love staring up at nature’s fireworks in the sky. Yes, during the early and late winter, the solar wind combines with particles in the air to cause the Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights. The Aurora is one of the Earth’s natural treasures that is made more beautiful by the snowy surroundings. The Northern Lights are probably the pick of the destinations on this list.

The Monastary, carved in a mountain above Petra

Petra, Jordan

In Petra, you will find an amazing World Heritage Site. The stone architecture of Petra is one of the most historic sites on the planet thanks to the rock-cut architecture. Wondering around the ancient city, you get a feeling of what it was like to live there thousands of years ago as the city is in such good condition. Still, the size of the crowds can take away from the romance somewhat, so head deeper into the city to the stone Monastery. The views are as breathtaking as they are beautiful.

The above are just a taster of where you could go for a romantic getaway. As long as you are with your favorite person in the world, anywhere in the world is romantic.
